CityTree, is a free-standing vertical display filled with a patent pending combination of plants and mosses aiming to significantly reduce air pollution, together with display information via text, pictures or digital information. Placed in a street with high traffic, the plants can cut fine dust pollution by half. Putting vertical greening and advertising panels into one original design, CityTree is a social, green and economically feasible project.
Socially, it connects people in physical and virtual worlds. Ecologically it helps to achieve cleaner air quality in cities. CityTree also offers opportunities for mutually advantageous forms of public-private cooperation. Ultimately, the beneficiaries are all urban dwellers, an estimated 70% of the world population by 2050.
